Description: 
The External Internship course introduces students to a real professional environment through a work placement that complements their academic degree. This experience allows them to apply their knowledge in practical contexts and gain an initial understanding of how organizations and roles related to their field of study operate. The course is further enhanced with support activities designed to facilitate understanding of the professional sector and the initial job placement process.

Objectives

Students acquire the following knowledge and develop the following skills:
1. Apply the technical knowledge and skills acquired during the degree in real professional environments.
2. Recognize the basic elements of the labor market and the factors involved in career management.
3. Develop the fundamental tools for searching and managing professional opportunities, such as self-knowledge, defining objectives and planning a career path.

Contents

The course content is organized into four main areas that combine practical experience in companies with the development of tools and skills for professional integration.
1. Company internships
Activities tailored to the training program agreed upon with the company and the student's area of specialization. This includes participation in real-world tasks and projects that allow students to apply their degree knowledge and develop professional skills in a real work environment.
2. Professional Development
This work is designed to prepare students for their professional future and is structured in four blocks:
o Self-knowledge: identification of skills, interests and professional values.
o Professional itinerary: definition of objectives and planning of the career plan.
o Personal branding: building a professional identity and improving communication.
o Labor market and networking : knowledge of sectors, roles and strategies for finding opportunities.
3. Individual Coaching
Personalized support sessions to review goals, make informed decisions, and receive feedback focused on professional development.
4. Experiential activities
Participation in institutional initiatives, workshops, talks and events such as Talent Week , which allow you to broaden your view of the job market and your network of contacts.

Methodology

The methodology combines theoretical, practical and experiential activities with a strong experiential learning component, ensuring that the student is prepared for their entry into the professional world.
The teaching approach is organized through:
- Group training sessions, dedicated to introducing key concepts and reflecting on relevant aspects of professional development.
- Practical exercises, which allow you to apply and consolidate the content covered in class.
- Work placements, the core of the subject.
- Individual coaching sessions, focused on personalized guidance and monitoring of professional goals.
- Experiential activities, such as workshops and talks with professionals in the sector.
This integrative approach combines practical experience, personal reflection, and the development of professional tools.

The assessment combines practical and academic activities aligned with the learning objectives, with recoverable and non-recoverable components.

Evaluation Criteria

To pass the subject, the student must meet the following requirements:
- Accredit the minimum number of hours of work experience in a company established by the degree.
- Obtain a minimum rating of 5/10 in all highly significant activities.
- Submit all required documentation within the deadlines and formats established in eStudy .
- In case of failure or "Not Presented" in any recoverable activity, you may apply to the extraordinary call.
To enroll, it is necessary to have passed at least 50% of the credits for the degree.
