Description
The subject introduces the student to the creation and development of an animation or videogame project for the actual market. In a pedagogical itinerary that includes knowledge of the creation and management and intellectual property, rights derived from it, as well as the needs and processes of market management of the current industry of animation, videogames and VFX.

Objectives

-Recognize and learn the theoretical concepts related to the creation of a project focused on the different current fields of animation and interactive.
-Recognize the different requirements and specificities; creative and market of the areas of animation, videogames, VFX, AR, VR and APPs
-Understand what are an intellectual property, commercial production and exploitation in transmedia fields.
- To know the copyright of each type’s creative work, as well as the operation of rights management entities.
-Recognize the current needs of the market in the different cinema, TV, VOD and internet platforms.
-Establish the correct relationship between the objective target of the product to be created and the market to which to direct it
-Recognize the creative roles of the industry and the current key works, as well as their future projection’s vision.
-Acquire the concepts and detail of the different milestones of animation and videogame production.
-Learn the importance and functioning of the licensing, marketing and merchandising market derived from the creation of a IP.
-Understand the importance of literary and visual creation in the creative environment of the animation and videogames.
-Knowledge of the main markets and fairs of the sector. Such as preparing an elevator pitch and a project dossier, focused on a commercial bible.
-Knowledge of the development necessary for the production of a teaser, pilot or project beta.
-Understand the financing model of a project: co-productions, grants and subsidies.
-Understand the functioning of the distribution in animation and videogame productions. (Distributors and agents, markets and final materials)
