José Luis Montesinos Bernabé

Director, screenwriter, TV producer and engineer from the La Salle School of the Ramon Llull University. His short films have been awarded throughout the world, highlighting “La Historia de Siempre” (“Same Old Story”) and “El Corredor” (“The Runner”), with which he has accumulated more than 200 awards nationally and internationally. Winner of the Goya ® Award, Premi Gaudí ®, nominated for the European Film Awards (EFA ®) and shortlisted for the Oscars ® Awards. Considered one of the 10 best Spanish talents by Variety magazine.
In 2020, his first film as director and screenwriter was released: “Cuerdas” (a.k.a. Ropes), participating in the Official Competition Section of the SITGES International Film Festival and winning awards at prestigious fantasy genre festivals, such as GRIMMFEST (Manchester), BIFFF (Brussels), FERATUM (Mexico) and Rojo Sangre (Buenos Aires). “Cuerdas” has been distributed in more than 35 countries worldwide. He works as a screenwriter, along with Iakes Blesa, in various feature film projects, such as “Caduco” (Film Cutting and Making), “The Time Vendor” (Brutal Media) and “Lesser Evil” (K5 International). At the same time, he creates and develops the series “La Jaula”, produced by Minoria Absoluta, DeAPlaneta and Upgrade Productions.
He is currently developing two feature-length fiction projects: TASA, produced by Rodar&Rodar (El Orfanato, Los Ojos de Julia) and “Vandellòs”, produced by Sábado Play, TV3 and A3 Media. He also serves as executive producer at BrooderLab Studios, creating and distributing successful animated short films such as “Baile con la Muerte.”
