Titular Professors
Student are expected to have at least a B2 level of English, but are not required to submit accreditation.
Students who take this subject acquire the knowledge and develop the skills indicated below:
1. Put into practice some of the basic concepts and techniques of business health management in a technological environment.
2. Adapt work styles to the latest professional trends in the health sector and the globalized world.
3. Develop mindsets and provide students with the tools they need to find solutions to the challenges of today's technological world.
4. Improve the level of spoken and written English of students through a personalized study program and a tracking system to obtain the B2.
Block 1: Language - Evaluate the students? level of English, raise awareness of the need to develop linguistic and communicative skills, as well as ?soft skills.?
Block 2: Reflect on the current state of the world in social, political, economic, and technological terms.
Block 3: Design Thinking project
Six-week project carried out in groups. Students work together to find a solution to a challenge from Hospital Sant Joan de Déu.
Block 4: Improve English knowledge. Preparation for official exams.

Assessment
This elements graded on this subject are:
- Practical work: groups presentations given in class.
- Practical work: Design Thinking group project with HSJD
- Final exam: Level and format B2-C1

Group presentation: Sant Joan de Déu Hospital: A global benchmark 10% (staff, patients, design, materials, knowledge, practices, technologies)

English language exam level B2-C1: 20%
The grades for the practical assignments must be equal to or higher than 5.0, and the final exam grade must be equal to or higher than 3.5. If this is not the case, one (or two) parts of the course will be failed and must be retaken.
