Lisa Kinnear

Lisa Kinnear is in charge of the English Language department at La Salle Universitat d´Enginyeria i Arquitectura, which forms part of the Ramon Llull university Barcelona (Spain). She coordinates the English Language courses and teaches on 3 degree programmes and is also involved in developing in-house English Language support programmes for lecturers, researchers and administrative staff at the university. Prior to La Salle, she was Director of Studies at Brighton 15 Idiomas, a private Language academy in Barcelona, where she was responsible for the recruitment and coordination of 120 teachers. Her research interests lie in the study of the incorporation of translation into language learning at a university level and how it can help students to appreciate the differences between L1 language and the Language they are learning.
