Description
This subject is the core of the Multimedia Engineering Degree (2nd year) and is optional for the rest of the Engineering degrees. The course is annual and has 5 ECTS credits. The communication channel between teachers and students of the subject is mainly the eStudy of the subject through the forums provided. RA.01 The minimum and necessary artistic and creative bases are applied for the good design of any software product. (GM) RA.02 Knowledge of Human Computer Interaction/Usability is available for the practice of UCD (User-Centered Design). (GM) RA.03 Usability problems can be identified, formulated and solved in multidisciplinary environments, both in teams and individually. (GM) RA.04 Maps and navigation patterns suitable for any interface are generated. (GM)

Methodology

The course is based on applying a User-Centered Design (UCD) process to the design of a web page.
During the first semester we work on the first phase of discovery using techniques that allow us to evaluate the type of
content to be contemplated, and during the second semester we carry out the definition phase in which the project is
conceptualized. Each phase has an associated delivery from which both the report and the oral defence are evaluated.
The subject has a weekly operation with 2 teaching sessions:
During each session, initially an introduction to the basic concepts will be made and later the concepts explained in a
practical exercise will be applied.
