The Corporate Board Council launches a new phase with a three-year strategic roadmap

The new mandate strengthens collaboration between La Salle-URL and the member companies of the CBC

The Corporate Board Council (CBC) of La Salle Campus Barcelona has held its second General Council meeting of the academic year with a focus on a new phase of consolidation and growth. During the session, the 2025–2028 roadmap was presented, structured around four major strategic pillars and aimed at strengthening the real impact of collaboration between university and industry through a clear co-leadership model between La Salle-URL and CBC member companies.

The meeting also served to formalize the appointment of Ana Ochoa, Director of the Barcelona Global IT Hub at Nestlé, as the new Co-Chair of the Business Council. “I take on this role with great energy and a strong desire to contribute,” she stated, highlighting the companies’ commitment to exercising tangible co-leadership with La Salle-URL and to reinforcing the strategic focus of the initiatives promoted, with clearly defined responsibilities and a shared intention to consolidate the CBC’s role as an active platform for value creation. This new phase builds on the work carried out during the CBC’s first three years, in which the Council has consolidated a stable university–industry collaboration model, delivering more than 260 initiatives with the participation of 8,000 students.

Four pillars to generate greater impact

The new mandate, with a three-year horizon, is structured around four strategic pillars: education and talent; innovation and technology transfer; communication; and networking. Each of these areas includes specific projects defined through ongoing dialogue between La Salle-URL and the companies that make up the Corporate Board Council. “The projects faithfully reflect the shared objectives of all members, aiming to work in a more structured way to achieve greater impact within the ecosystem and generate mutual value,” explained Rosa Maria Alsina, Provost of La Salle-URL.

All members of the Council of La Salle Campus Barcelona also expressed during the session their determination to go beyond the traditional role of a body of this nature. “Councils advise, but we are now committing to go further, to add assets and consolidate ourselves as a key player within the ecosystem,” stated Josep M. Santos, General Manager of La Salle-URL and Co-Chair of the CBC. In this context, and within the framework of the campus’ new 2025–2029 Strategic Plan, the relationship between university and industry is reaffirmed as a key element in the development of projects with real impact.
