The course focuses on reinterpretation, redesign, and visual adaptation as high-level professional creative tools.
Objectives
- Develop the ability to reinterpret and redesign characters within established visual universes with conceptual and narrative coherence
- Apply advanced character design techniques: silhouettes, clothing layers, props, turnarounds, and facial variants
- Design environments that are narratively and visually connected to the character
- Work from structured briefings with combined variables to stimulate creativity within professional constraints
- Produce final presentations with professional quality and format

Block 2 — Warhammer 40K Faction Redesign
- Visual reinterpretation of a Space Marine chapter maintaining classic proportions and silhouette
- Facial and helmet/hair variants
- Firearm design (hard surface)
- Technical turnaround (front, profile, back)
- Final posed character design and detailed prop
Block 3 — New League of Legends Character Skin

- Optional weapon or accessory design
- Environment design coherent with the character (architecture and nature)
- Final presentation as a key location sheet
The course is structured around three practical work blocks of increasing duration and complexity, each centred on a different reference universe. Learning is built around structured briefings with combined variables that simulate the creative dynamics of a professional concept art studio. Each block includes exploration, development, and final presentation phases, with continuous feedback from the instructor. The use of diverse tools —Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Blender, PureRef— is encouraged to meet the technical and aesthetic requirements of each project.
- Block 1 — MTG Planeswalker — Character reinterpretation with props and layered professional presentation
- Block 2 — Warhammer 40K — Faction redesign with technical turnaround, variants, and hard surface
- Block 3 — League of Legends + environment — New skin with environment design and key location sheet presentation
