Objectives

Economics and the main economic phenomena have become so relevant and central to the development of individuals and societies that it is now impossible to understand even the most important challenges facing modern societies without studying the basic mechanisms that sustain economic activity and intertwine the fundamentals of this sphere. The phenomenon of the economy, increasingly present in social foundations, affects political decisions and people's lives to such an extent that it is necessary to delve into their mutual interrelations and understand how political decisions are profoundly influenced and conditioned by economic issues and, in turn, how they interfere with decisions of a marked political and social nature. The optimization of economic decisions, whether in the private or public sphere, requires knowledge of the national and international economic environment. The discipline of Spanish and global economics provides students with basic knowledge about how the macroeconomic environment in which Spanish businesses and economic agents operate functions, the economic institutions that operate within it, as well as the economic policies developed.

Evaluation

CONVOCATORIA ORDINARIA:
To be evaluated in the convocatoria ordinaria, you have to have completed all the actividades objeto de evaluación. The evaluable activities must be submitted or done on the fechas indicated by the profesor/a. If for some justifiable reason, properly communicated to the profesor/a, you couldn?t deliver them on time, you can submit them before the date of the final exam, so the profesor/a can grade them. However, the grade will be lower considering the delay. Also, for late submissions, the profesor/a is not obliged to give feedback on those activities.

On the other hand, the alumno/a has the right to take the final written test even if they haven?t submitted all the other evaluation activities, but the final course grade will only be calculated if all activities are submitted and according to the evaluation criteria and weightings established in this guide. If any evaluation activity is missing, it will be recorded as "No presentado" on the official record.

CONVOCATORIA EXTRAORDINARIA:
The evaluation criteria are the same as in the convocatoria ordinaria, so all evaluation activities from the course must be submitted. The grades for completed activities (including the final written test) will be kept while waiting for the pending activities to be completed. The same weighting criteria will apply for the final grade components as in the ordinary evaluation. This measure applies only during the current academic year. If the convocatoria extraordinaria is not passed, re-enrollment will mean repeating the entire course.

Important note: Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools:
If AI tools are used in any activity, a paragraph must be included stating what the AI was used for and which prompts or instructions were used to obtain the results. Not doing so is a violation of academic honesty policies.

Evaluation Criteria

Final evaluation test (examen): 40%
Group presentation (group and invidiaul grade): 30%
Weekly individual assignments: 15%
Attendance and participation: 15%
