In the Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Engineering at La Salle Campus Barcelona you will learn to develop interactive digital content with a more global and practical vision, combining technology and creativity.
The demand of multimedia content is growing exponentially, and with it, the need for profiles capable of programming video games or apps, designing interactive digital products and creating virtual reality projects, 3D graphics and much more.
During the first year, common to all engineering degrees, you will learn through the learning by challenge methodology: a practical training based on real challenges proposed by local and European companies, which prepares you for the professional environment from the start.
Through our new curriculum, from the second year onwards, you can choose our Minor in Video Games, where you will be able to specialise in the design, programming and animation of these.
Alternatively, you can choose other specialisation tracks such as:
- HCI (Human-Computer Interaction): you'll learn to design innovative systems that combine automation, intuitive interfaces and human-centered user experiences, transforming the way we interact with technology and driving the future of digital interaction.
- Audiovisual production: you will be prepared to lead audiovisual projects from idea to distribution in digital media, acquiring skills in post-production, visual effects and color correction.
- Broadcasting engineering: you will learn to design, install, operate and maintain systems and equipment for the production and transmission of audiovisual content on television, radio and digital platforms, combining engineering, media and technology to ensure effective and high-quality communication.
At la Salle-URL you will have at your disposal facilities and laboratories that are always available to students:
- Medialab: is a unique 3D motion and image capture environment in one location. It combines a conventional TV studio with chroma key and a VICON 8-camera motion capture system.
- Recording studio: the recording studio is a space designed to record and mix sound, with a control room that allows for immersive audio and multi-channel monitors and a recording room that includes connection to special cameras to amplify sound effects.
- Immersive room: multi-purpose laboratory dedicated to research into technologies linked to the perception of the environment. These technologies can be of an audiovisual nature, such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR).
- Visual post-production rooms: specialised spaces where technical and creative tasks related to the editing and enhancement of images and videos are carried out, such as the color and editing room or the VFX set.
