La Salle-URL will present its university knowledge ecosystem at the Saló de l’Ensenyament, combining technology and humanism to educate professionals ready to address the challenges of a global and digital society. From 18 to 22 March, the campus will be present at stand 512 in Pavilion 1 at Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc venue, as part of the Saló de l’Ensenyament, the most important educational guidance event in Catalonia. La Salle-URL’s proposal offers a transformative experience that goes beyond the classroom, educating students both in skills and in values.
La Salle-URL brings together several areas of knowledge on a single campus in the city of Barcelona: Engineering, Architecture, Business, Philosophy, Animation, Digital Arts and Health Engineering. This coexistence of complementary perspectives fosters transdisciplinarity and allows students to work on real projects with peers from other fields of knowledge.
Innovation, artificial intelligence and new academic programmes
Looking ahead to the next academic year, La Salle-URL is launching a new Bachelor in Applied Mathematics, delivered jointly with IQS-URL, designed to train highly analytical profiles capable of addressing today’s scientific challenges. In addition, the Bachelor in Engineering in Technology Management, which can be studied entirely in English, integrates engineering knowledge with business management to lead technological projects in international environments. The renewed Bachelor in Management of Business and Technology combines strategy, innovation and digitalisation to transform the future of business.
In the creative field, the talent trained in the Bachelor’s Degrees in Animation & VFX and Digital Arts has received several recognitions. Recently, the short film Baile con la muerte, created in the campus classrooms, was shortlisted for the Goya Awards in the category of Best Animated Short Film. In addition, the campus promotes critical thinking across all its programmes, particularly in the Bachelor in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, aimed at students who want to understand and analyse today’s social phenomena.
An international and transdisciplinary campus
The international dimension is another pillar of La Salle-URL’s value proposition. With students from more than 115 nationalities, the global experience begins in the classroom but goes further through mobility programmes, double degrees and academic study tours integrated into the curricula.
The campus has more than forty laboratories and specialised facilities where students apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom, such as IoTiCAT and IASlab, two leading European spaces for innovation and research in the fields of the Internet of Things and audiovisual and artistic creation. The cross-cutting integration of artificial intelligence across all areas enhances students’ ability to innovate and lead in digital environments. In fact, for the past three years La Salle-URL has offered a Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, building on the campus’s long-standing expertise in engineering and technology, with researchers who have been studying and applying AI for more than two decades, making it a strategic axis for teaching, research and knowledge transfer.
