This course seeks to explore the intrinsic relationship between architecture and design, focusing on furniture design.
Starting from the research developed at the Bauhaus ?a pioneer in the integration of both disciplines? the course will analyse key historical references that have been fundamental in the evolution of architecture, with the aim of understanding how furniture can act as an extension of architectural thinking.
The connection between functionality, ergonomics, and form will be studied, as well as the connection between constructive logic and the possibilities of industrial production.
The pedagogical approach combines theoretical lectures with practical design sessions and hands-on workshop work, culminating in the development and collective fabrication of a piece of furniture.
