– Punching in 2-way slabs
– Pillars
Part 2 (Foundations and geotechnics) :

The subject operates on a weekly basis, with two teaching sessions of three and two hours each.
Each session is divided into different parts:
A first lecture-based part in which the professor explains the new content and the theoretical and regulatory framework governing the resolution of the structural problems to be addressed.
A second part where examples of application of the new content are analyzed and carried out.
Periodically, individual or group assessment activities are carried out through written tests, questionnaires, collection of exercises completed outside of class hours, etc., so that the student receives feedback on their progress.
Course has two calls: the ordinary and the extraordinary.
Course grade for both calls will be obtained from 2 partial grades:
Part 1: Concrete: 60% of the grade
Part 2: Foundations and geotechnics: 40% of the grade
If one or more partial grades are under 5 (over 10), the course grade will be 4 if the average calculated with the previous criterium is over 4.
Partial grades for each one of the two parts will be the highest obtained on these 3 chances:
1) Grade obtained in the continuous assessment of the part
2) Grade obtained in that part of the ordinary call final exam
3) Grade obtained in that part of the extraordinary call final exam
The final grade for the subject obtained through continuous assessment is calculated based on the following percentages for each activity:
Part 1- Concrete (60%)
Part 2- Foundations and geotechnics (40%)
The grade for the ordinary and extraordinary examination periods will be obtained using the same percentages per part, but achieved exclusively through the completion of the corresponding exam. It is necessary to pass all two parts to pass the course.
