The Master's Final Work is a compulsory subject, tot i això presents the particularity that only a cop approves the remaining credits of the Master can be valued. The main reason was in the will that this facilitated a synthesis of the connections and competencies acquired by the student during the course of the degree, which is evaluated by a specific court for this subject.

Objectives

· Be able to tackle the realization of a project in the field of building engineering individually.
· Know how to analyze a specific problem in the field of building engineering, and know how to propose solutions.
· Reinforce the knowledge acquired throughout the subjects studied in the Master.
· Know and apply a methodology in its development.
· Apply techniques and knowledge acquired with the rest of the subjects.
· Acquire skills for the presentation and public defense of the TFM.

Once completed and completed the syllabus of the academic program; the student has sufficient knowledge to accept the challenge of formalizing a work where all the technical aspects developed are applied. The student is prepared to solve technical and economic problems, write, calculate, limit, evaluate and draw conclusions about their proposals.
It is necessary to specify all the information obtained, it is necessary to establish a method of research and investigation of new systems, as well as exploit the resources given by the school and institutions to obtain the necessary information to enable it to develop its proposal in accordance with current methodology of professional work.
The aim is to transform technical knowledge into an executable project according to the current development of the profession and the specialty studied.

Contents

The Final Master's Thesis consists of carrying out, presenting and defending, once all the credits of the curriculum have been obtained, an original exercise carried out individually before a university tribunal, consisting of a comprehensive project in the field of the construction of a professional nature in which the skills acquired in teaching are synthesized.
The methodology used is based on guided tutorials where the teacher guides the student in its development. In this way, all phases of the TFM are monitored. Once this is completed the student makes a report describing the project. When the work is finished, it is presented to a court which decides the final grade.

The work will be carried out from a proposal of the student that will have to be approved by the coordinator, the presentation of proposals will do by means of a memory of the work and a script of the same with all the sections that want to develop, as well as the objective and the necessary documentation for its understanding (photos, plans ...)
Students have the months of September, October and November to present their proposal and for acceptance by teachers.

Only the teachers of the School who teach a specific subject of the master's degree can be supervisors.

PRESENTATION

Written and graphic documentation in DIN A-4 format (two copies) (Graphic document in DIN A-3 format folded in DIN A-4)
The first two sheets will be collected at the secretariat in the format of La Salle.

TFM TUTORING AND FOLLOW-UP

The tutorials and follow-up of the final master's thesis will be carried out by the school's teachers. The student will be able to choose between the tutors, taking into account that each tutor will be able to be it of a maximum of 10 students.
Tutorials will be scheduled by the tutor based on the student's progress, focusing on the period from September to January in the 3rd Semester.

The project will be evaluated by a court, these must be teachers of the School, a guest teacher from another school or professionals with recognized experience, and will be appointed by the management of the center.
The tribunal will consist of: A president and two members.
The supervising professor must attend the court with voice and vote.

The evaluation is carried out by means of a court formed by a president and two members. The aspects that are taken into account for its assessment are:
- Organization and structure of the report both in form and contents (Extract, Summary, Index,
- Body, Results, Conclusions and Future Lines, Bibliography).
- Quality and correction of the writing.
- Relevance of the work proposed and its justification.
- Presentation of the TFM. Adjustment to presentation time, which is 30 minutes.
- Capacity for synthesis.
- Theoretical presentation. Theoretical knowledge of the subject of the TFM: formalisms and development.
- Clarity of the presentation.
- Clarity in oral presentation.
- Appropriate answers to court questions.
- Practical presentation.
- Shows the environment in which it has developed.
- Quality of the demonstration of the results.
