BUSINESS MANAGEMENT AND THE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION (5 ECTS)

This subject is aimed at obtaining the knowledge required to understand the functioning of the main departments of a company: Sales, Marketing, Operations, etc. so that we can interact from an IT perspective and provide services to these departments, understanding how they work and speaking their language. Students will also take an in-depth look at how the digital transformation influences a company’s overall strategy.

MANAGERIAL SKILLS

In this course, the objective is to understand the different types of leadership that exist, and the roles they play in companies. It is also a subject that will help students to see what kind of leader they are and to set a critical pathway, with a plan to take their careers wherever they want, while taking stock of their weaknesses and strengths.

MANAGEMENT CONTROL AND COST ANALYSIS (5 ECTS)

In order to obtain a middle management or executive position at a company, students must be able to manage, create and defend budgets. Students will also familiarise themselves with the main economic indicators so that they understand how to apply them as part of a management committee and in our daily lives.

 

 

ICT management in businesses

STRATEGIC PLANNING (5 ECTS)

This subject will see students explore the knowledge needed to elaborate a Systems Direction Plan that is totally aligned with their company, taking the preparation and implementation cycles as a whole. They will also explore all the strategic concepts of ICT and its positioning in the digital strategy of a company.

ICT GOVERNANCE (5 ECTS)

From an operational and organisational perspective, students will examine how an IT department should be structured and operated. Based on ITILv3.

TRENDS IN ICT MANAGEMENT (5 ECTS)

This subject looks at the needs of ICT managers in terms of skills and a global vision of the tools and trends in the market, while offering a clear view of the value they can contirbute to a company.

THE ICT MARKET (5 ECTS)

This subject provides a perspective of the competition and regulations affecting the ICT sector within Europe, providing a summary of the sector that will teach students how to analyse this market on an ongoing basis, providing the sources used by the main analysts and the criteria required to incorporate them into the organisation.

 

 

ICT management

INNOVATION (5 ECTS)

CIO's are able to add value to the company by making ICTs a competitive difference with respect to their competition. To do this, we must search for innovative models that leverage ICTs to make our companies more competitive. Students will learn the methodology required to do this.

ICT PROJECT MANAGEMENT (5 ECTS)

Once we launch a business initiative to meet a need detected in the IT master plan, students will examine how to meet expectations using best practices. Based on the PMB.

SERVICE MANAGEMENT (5 ECTS)

Students will explore how to understand and lead an IT department with an eye on services and quality, while looking at the many issues related to this area.

 

 

MASTER'S DISSERTATION

MASTER'S DISSERTATION (10 ECTS)

The aim of this project is to apply all the knowledge acquired over the course of the master's degree to ensure a global appreciation of the concepts and the ability to apply them at a general level in a practical case study. Work will be in groups in order to simulate as closely as possible work in the sector, while also putting into practice students’ management skills. Students will produce a Digital Transformation Plan for a real company.
