Inspired by Great Books Seminars, it combines the reading of foundational texts, debate in small groups and philosophical writing to develop a deep understanding of the major questions in the history of thought.
Throughout the degree, you take part in:
Reading and discussion seminars
You read major works from the philosophical, literary and historical traditions and analyse them with lecturers and fellow students.
Thinking and argumentation
You learn to construct robust arguments, express your ideas clearly and engage in debate with respect and intellectual rigour.
Philosophical writing
Each subject includes essays and individual assignments that allow you to develop your own position and learn how to communicate it clearly and coherently.
Personalised support
Small groups enable continuous monitoring and close academic support from lecturers.
Experiential learning
You complement your studies with international seminars in cities such as Athens and Florence, where you connect ideas with the historical and cultural contexts in which they emerged.
