The Bachelor's Degree in Animation & VFX at La Salle – Ramon Llull University offers comprehensive training in animation and VFX, combining creativity and technology so that you can develop a high-level portfolio and a solid understanding of the entire production process.

An inspiring example is Baile con la Muerte (Dance with Reaper), a short film developed as a Final Thesis Project by eleven former students and produced with the help of BrooderLab, the audiovisual incubation and production space linked to the campus. Its pre-selection for Best Animated Short Film at the 2026 Goya Awards demonstrates how a project born in the classroom can become a work with real impact and international projection.

The quality of the work produced by the bachelor programme has also positioned La Salle-URL as the number one university in Spain in the Production Excellence – 3D Animation category, according to The Rookies 2023, one of the most prestigious rankings in the sector.

Throughout the programme, you will master the most advanced techniques in 3D animation and explore the latest innovations that are transforming the industry. Artificial intelligence, naturally integrated into the curriculum, will allow you to enhance your creative processes and face new challenges in the sector with an ethical, critical and up-to-date perspective.

You will be trained in all the stages of production:

Pre-production: ideas, creativity, screenplay, design, narrative and storyboard.
Production: 3D modelling, textures-shading, rigging, animation, illumination, render, and FX.
Post-Production: composition, assembly and colour correction, 3D VFX and motion graphics.
Industry: distribution, finance, intellectual property, project management, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

This professionalising bachelor simulates the real working environment in companies: collaborative dynamics, continuous reviews and professional presentations that prepare you to join studios and production companies.

Specialisation electives and the Final Thesis Project will allow you to focus your career on the area you are most passionate about. And, thanks to the support of BrooderLab, your projects will receive professional mentoring, production support and access to festival circuits, strengthening your entry into the industry.

On campus, you will find leading facilities for animation practice. Of note is the IASlab (Interactive Arts & Science Laboratory), a pioneering space equipped with an immersive room and laboratories for visual effects, virtual reality, augmented reality and acoustics.
