Elective Subjects

STUDY PROGRAM

1. eHealth (15 ECTS) – CORE

In this subject, students will study content related to the application of new technologies in the world of health. You will learn new ways of working with electronic medical records, digital skills, the role of social networks in the health environment, ethics and legality, innovation, the usefulness and use of mobile applications and new ways of caring for patients.

2. Health management and care processes (15 ECTS) - Core

This subject will allow you to upgrade your knowledge in the health field, differentiating the various levels of care, the healthcare map, healthcare plans, financial analysis, people management and how to manage logistics at a medical centre. You will immerse yourself in the various areas of healthcare, starting with the most theoretical, basic concepts and then progressing deeper into the processes and their particularities.

2. IT in Health (20 ECTS) - Optional

The contents of this subject will introduce you to the different technological solutions involved in each area of healthcare management and the processes involved. We will work on methodology and Project Management, interoperability, health applications, data security and mobility solutions. We will look at the use of Big Data, Deep learning, Machine Learning in healthcare environments, as well as negotiation skills and best practices in creating a start-up.

4. End-of-Master's Project (10 ECTS)

The goal of this subject is for students to produce a project covering management of the theoretical and practical components that have been covered in the subjects taught as part of the Master's. The project must be in the field of healthcare, and will develop a functional solution with a economic/financial analysis and the possibility of creating a start-up.
