Increase our interest and ability to evaluate and measure the contributions and performance of collaborators in a fair way.
Differentiate between the concepts of group and team, and identify the phases of evolution of a team as well as the roles that occur in it.
Learn to offer effective feedback, with an emphasis on development and growth.
The course program is structured into different topics:
1- Personal leadership.
2- Interpersonal communication.
3- Leadership and management of people.
4- Teamwork.
5- Negotiation.
The sessions will be distributed as follows:
At the beginning of the class, questions arising from the work previously carried out by the students will be resolved.
During the remaining time, the teacher will conduct the analysis, debate and resolution session of the practical case or exercises based on theoretical concepts that the students will have previously prepared.
Outdoor training group session, focused on the development of the work team
The methodology is eminently active and participatory. Theory, analysis and reflection will be combined to exchange experiences and reinforce the theoretical content of the course. Each topic will have to be explored in depth through reading, watching films and doing individual and group exercises.
In order to complete the program, each participant will create their own Personal Development Plan (PDP) to plan and manage their own personal and professional growth. This plan helps to identify individual objectives, the skills necessary to achieve them and the specific actions that must be followed to develop and achieve these skills.
Group sessions in which students participate in debates, exercises, dynamics and role plays.
Pre-session work through complementary documentation, technical notes and other resources that will allow students to work on the concepts and models before each group session.
Questionnaires and self-knowledge tests (for example, Belbin Test).
The Management Skills course does not aim to require the student to acquire specific knowledge, but rather to involve the student in a process of learning, change and development, both professional and personal.
However, and in order to adequately meet the Program requirements, the evaluation of this course will consist of:
1) Online evaluation questionnaire to be administered in the final session. The questionnaire is intended to
evaluate the understanding of the main concepts, models and tools
worked on in the sessions.
2) Participation in class. Participation in class responds to the approach that this course has in that it is the person themselves who, through the content published in the e-Study, directs their learning to acquire the concepts, techniques and proposed models that will be put into practice in each session through debates, exercises, role play, etc. Participation will be assessed by demonstrating active participation during class, demonstrating application of knowledge and demonstrating having prepared the class through concerns or contributions in class.
3) Team diagnostic report. This deliverable will assess the student's ability to identify the strengths of a team, as well as the risks that must be addressed so that the team can achieve high performance.
4) Evaluation and feedback interview at the end of the course on the Personal Development Plan. In this interview, we will validate the effectiveness of the Personal Development Plan and provide feedback on the main opportunities for improvement for each person.
1) Online assessment questionnaire to be administered in the final session.
Weighting: 20% of the total grade.
2) Class participation.
Weighting: 20% of the total grade.
3) Team diagnostic report.

4) Evaluation interview and feedback at the end of the course on your Personal Development Plan.
