URL, the Leading University in Catalonia for Teaching Performance According to U-Ranking 2026

The university ranks for the seventh consecutive year among Spain’s top-performing institutions in teaching and also stands out for its graduate employability.

Ramon Llull University, of which La Salle Campus Barcelona is a founding member, remains for the seventh consecutive year in the top group of Spanish universities with the best teaching performance, according to the U-Ranking 2026 report. These results consolidate its position as the leading university in Catalonia in this area.

The report, prepared by Fundación BBVA and the Valencian Institute of Economic Research (IVIE), analyses a total of 71 Spanish universities based on indicators related to teaching, research, innovation and graduate employability. In this context, URL ranks above the national average in most of the indicators assessed, standing out particularly in the percentage of international students and participation in international mobility programmes.

In terms of employability, URL also achieves strong results, ranking as the third university in Catalonia, reinforcing its commitment to employability and the professional development of its students.
 

Results by fields of knowledge

In addition, the U-Ranking 2026 report includes a detailed analysis by fields of knowledge, making it possible to assess the specific performance of each university across different academic disciplines.

URL has been evaluated in the five major fields: Social and Legal Sciences, Sciences, Health Sciences, Engineering and Architecture, and Arts and Humanities.

In this regard, La Salle-URL contributes to the results in three of these fields through the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes offered by the four schools and faculties that make up its academic ecosystem: the Higher Technical School of Architecture and Building (ETSALS), the Digital Engineering School (ETSELS), the International School of Commerce and Digital Economy (FICEDLS), and the Faculty of Philosophy (FFLS).

Among the most notable results are:

  • Social and Legal Sciences: 1st in Spain for teaching performance and 2nd in Catalonia for employability.

Contributing to these results are the three undergraduate programmes offered by the International Faculty of Commerce and Digital Economy (Digital Business Design and Innovation, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, Management of Business and Technology), as well as the MBA, the University Master’s Degree in Project Management and other programmes offered by the faculty.

  • Engineering and Architecture: 1st in Catalonia for teaching performance.

Particularly noteworthy are the engineering bachelor’s and master’s programmes offered by the School of Engineering and the architecture programmes offered by the School of Architecture, as well as the PhD in Information Technologies and their Application in Management, Architecture and Geophysics.

  • Arts and Humanities: 1st in Catalonia for teaching performance.

Contributing to this result are the Bachelor’s in Animation & VFX, the Bachelor’s in Digital Arts: New Media and Concept Art, and the University Master’s in Digital Arts and Creative Technologies offered by the School of Engineering; in addition to the bachelor’s and master’s programmes of the Faculty of Philosophy and the PhD in Philosophy: Humanism and Transcendence.

These results highlight the strength of La Salle-URL’s educational model and its commitment to high-quality education, with a strong international orientation and close links to the business and professional sectors.
