The Course in Artificial Intelligence and Urbanism: Shaping the Cities of the Future prepares you to:

  • Understand the role of artificial intelligence in the planning, management and design of the cities of the future, as well as in the architecture and regeneration of urban spaces.
  • Apply technology-assisted urban analysis tools – such as digital twins, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence – to interpret and project more efficient, sustainable and resilient environments.
  • Analyse the ethical, social, environmental and cultural impacts of the use of AI in architecture and urban planning, developing the capacity to integrate ethical, sustainable and inclusive principles into projects.
  • To explore humanism-centred design trends – such as neurodesign and neuroarchitecture from a scientific and holistic perspective, in order to incorporate emotional and cognitive well-being criteria in the development of spatial solutions.
  • Develop critical, creative, and interdisciplinary thinking skills that allow you to combine technology, humanities, and design to build fairer, more inclusive, and well-being-oriented cities.
