These subjects are part of the Online Postgraduate in Architectural Acoustics (PAA). This Postgraduate course addresses everything related to the treatment and acoustic insulation of rooms: from design and regulations, to measurements and control.

THEORY OF ROOM ACOUSTICS - 10 ECTS

You will know the main theories for the acoustic design of spaces and delve into the most relevant concepts in this matter. You will obtain a solid base of the theoretical concepts and calculation, design and measurement procedures, to be able to project and evaluate the acoustics of any type of space.

ROOM ACOUSTICS PRACTICE - 5 ECTS

You will become familiar with the most practical part of room acoustics. You will acquire the necessary skills to handle different measuring equipment, as well as in the analysis of the data obtained. You will carry out, in a group, practical work on a design of a space focused as a professional project.

THEORY OF ACOUSTIC INSULATION AND NOISE CONTROL - 10 ECTS

You will learn the theoretical-practical concepts to know how to calculate, measure and evaluate the acoustic insulation between two or more rooms. You will study constructive solutions, the parameters influencing acoustic insulation, calculation equations, as well as building regulations for the control of airborne noise and impact noise insulation.

ACOUSTIC INSULATION AND NOISE CONTROL PRACTICE - 5 ECTS

You will focus on performing acoustic measurements and their subsequent analysis. Likewise, you will carry out a group work on the insulation design (soundproofing project) of a specific space. This work corresponds to the Postgraduate Work of the PAA.
