Redesigning the Barcelona Pavilion (Mies van der Rohe) Through a project workshop, you will participate in individual and group activities to develop an architectural proposal. You will design a new spatial use for the Barcelona Pavilion, exploring your ideas through models and three-dimensional images. |
Designing a Youth Hub in Barcelona In this workshop you will develop a project both individually and collaboratively. Through theoretical and practical sessions, you will design a youth meeting space and build a small-scale version of your proposal in the campus gardens. |
Drawing our ideas In this session you will discover the basics of architectural drawing and learn how to represent three-dimensional spaces and two-dimensional plans to communicate your design ideas. You'll experiment with different techniques, from digital tools to watercolor and collage. |
Model building You will transform your ideas into physical models. You will learn about different model-building techniques that will allow you to materialize your project and develop a physical representation of your Youth Hub. |
Theoretical sessions: design, culture and technology Through short and dynamic sessions, you will explore some of the main areas that are part of architecture training. Through experimental exercises and the analysis of emblematic buildings in Barcelona, you will discover how creativity, cultural reflection and technical knowledge are combined in architectural practice. Barcelona, now the UNESCO-UIA World Capital of Architecture, thus becomes a real laboratory for understanding how architecture is integrated into the city and transforms its environment. |
