Professional profiles (Undergraduate and graduate architects, construction engineers, civil engineers, licensed technicians) working in the construction activity, interested in development of projects implementing all architectonic criteria and applicable construction energy efficiency systems.

Objectives

Capacity for auditing and performing energy certification tasks. Knowledge of means/tools to perform such tasks.

- Understanding measurable features of buildings from an energy efficiency point of view.
- Knowledge of different national and international certification procedures.
- Providing necessary knowledge to face exams for LEED Green Associate and LEED Accredited Professional BD + C o LEED EBOM.
- Training to perform energy audit on an existing building to understand and provide students with tools for energy rehabilitation.

The course is organized in two modules. First one introduces fundamental concepts necessary to analyse energy performance of buildings and energy efficiency of equipment, in order to implement improvements.
Second module studies national and international certifications and provides all necessary knowledge to evaluate and classify buildings form energy point of view

Classes combine theory content with practical exercises for a better understanding of concepts presented at each session.
Course includes debates, presentations, computer work and technical visit to construction sites and existing recognized projects/infrastructures related to the content of the course.
Faculty staff is composed by professors and active licensed professionals.
Attendance is mandatory and it is organized in 3 hours sessions during a period time of eight months.
