We live in an era of accelerated urbanization and growing hybridization between physical and digital space. Cities are no longer planned only with maps and models, but with algorithms, predictive models and intelligent platforms that manage everything from mobility to energy or security. Artificial intelligence (AI), digital twins, and urban analytics are transforming the way we inhabit, govern, and design urban environments.
This new paradigm invites you to reflect on essential questions:
- What kind of city are we building with these technologies?
- How do we ensure that they are inclusive, sustainable and fair?
- What invisible biases or impacts can algorithms introduce into urban life?
- What role does urban design play in people's emotional and cognitive well-being?
The Course in Artificial Intelligence and Urbanism: Shaping the Cities of the Future was born as a response to these challenges. Unlike traditional purely technical or urban planning programs, this course offers you a critical, humanistic and transdisciplinary perspective, which integrates technology, ethics, neuroscience and urban design.
You will live a differential training experience, in which you will learn to combine artificial intelligence, ethics, sustainability, neuroscience and urban design in a single proposal aimed at action, critical creativity and the real transformation of the urban environment.
