Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a disruptive technology that is redefining industries and transforming our daily lives. From applications in medicine and education to uses in security and entertainment, AI promises unprecedented benefits. However, this rapid advancement also raises significant ethical questions and moral challenges that cannot be ignored.
The use of AI prompts crucial questions about privacy, fairness, transparency, and accountability. How do we ensure that AI systems do not perpetuate existing biases? What measures should we take to protect users' privacy? How do we guarantee that automated decisions are transparent and accountable? These and other questions form the core of the ethical considerations that should guide the development and implementation of AI.
The Course on Ethics and Responsibility in the Application of Artificial Intelligence is designed to provide a deep understanding of the ethical dilemmas and legal regulations surrounding AI. You will explore real cases, analyze ethical principles at both local and international levels, and discuss how to integrate these considerations into the development and training of AI models. By the end of the training, you will be better prepared to address ethical challenges and contribute to the development of AI that is fair, responsible, and beneficial for all.
The Course on Ethics and Responsibility in the Application of Artificial Intelligence (5 ECTS) is a specialization that is part of the training itinerary of the Program in Artificial Intelligence in Business (15 ECTS), a University Expert degree from Ramon Llull University.
