Talent Week surpasses 2,000 participants and strengthens La Salle-URL’s commitment to students’ professional development

Leading companies connect with student talent at La Salle Campus Barcelona’s employability fair

The 13th edition of Talent Week, the annual employability fair organised by La Salle-URL, closes with outstanding attendance and reinforces the campus’ commitment to employability, career guidance, and the professional development of its students. More than 2,000 people including students, alumni, companies, and partners, took part in the activities held from 17 to 21 November.

A strategic event to boost employment and young talent in Barcelona

Talent Week is confirmed as an essential space for connecting emerging talent from La Salle-URL with the business ecosystem. The programme includes a variety of activities held across different spaces of La Salle Campus Barcelona, aimed at strengthening collaboration between the university and leading companies from key sectors in Catalonia and Spain. The main activity, the showroom, held in the Sala de Congressos, featured 33 leading companies and welcomed over 1,600 attendees. In this space, companies had the opportunity to speak with students, presenting the current needs of the job market and the most in-demand professional profiles. For students, the showroom was an opportunity to showcase their talent and potential, as well as the knowledge, global competencies and values they are developing during their studies on campus.

Strong presence of top-level companies

Among the participating companies were Accenture, Amazon, Damm, Deloitte, CaixaBank, Coty, Grifols, Glovo, NTT Data, Allianz and KPMG, among many others. La Salle-URL also had its own stand featuring information about the full range of master’s and postgraduate programmes, as well as the courses offered through Professional and Executive Education.

The research area was also present with a stand where researchers presented the research groups, lines of work and projects such as Quantum, NAO, Sonora, BeNEXT and EcoSentinel, along with the two doctoral programmes offered on campus. The week’s schedule also included more than 200 virtual meetings, talks, and the recording of nine knowledge capsules produced at the UserLab of La Salle-URL.

ExitSuccess: the professional journey of Architecture alumni

Throughout the week, the La Salle-URL Higher Technical School of Architecture (ETSALS) organised ExitSuccess, a series of talks featuring alumni of the school. Speakers included Anna M. Falguera, architect at the Territorial Management Department of BIMSA at Barcelona City Council; Christian Sintes, from the architecture firm LUV Studio; and Maria Alarcón, architect, digital artist and founder of parte.digital.

All in all, Talent Week is consolidated as a meeting point for companies and La Salle-URL students, and as the ideal space to deepen employability at both national and international level, while gaining first-hand insight into the skills and characteristics that the job market will demand in the coming years.
