La Salle Campus Barcelona, founding member of Universitat Ramon Llull, strengthens its positioning as a benchmark in entrepreneurship, innovation, and talent generation with social impact at a new edition of 4YFN, the leading event for startups held within the framework of the Mobile World Congress. La Salle-URL will have its own stand under the motto Accelerating innovation. Talent for impact, with an agenda focused on startups, experts, and professionals from the campus innovation ecosystem, placing entrepreneurship and the ethical application of artificial intelligence at the center of the debate.

“We understand our active presence at 4YFN through our experience in innovation and entrepreneurship, accredited by ACEEU and endorsed by the 25-year track record of La Salle Technova, our innovation park. La Salle Technova: 25 years driving innovation and entrepreneurship

In 2026, the year in which the Mobile World Congress celebrates its 20th anniversary in Barcelona, La Salle Technova marks its 25th anniversary. The La Salle-URL innovation park has a long track record of fostering technology-based entrepreneurship and acting as a hub connecting startups, investors, and corporations, while supporting emerging companies at every stage of their development. Over the past two decades, La Salle Technova has advised more than one thousand projects and, during 4YFN, 16 startups will present their projects, ideas, and business models in a space designed to connect founders, investors, creators, and leaders. Among them: Vibes Carpool, Yasyt, Escena 4.0, Lueira, Yutopias, Mentor, Keibell, Twintual, What2visit, Hotta, Ibiama, FasFest and Apolo.

Artificial Intelligence, a structural axis of the campus ecosystem

This year, the Mobile World Congress focuses on the development of artificial intelligence and the ethical debates arising from its progress and its increasingly widespread use in the business sector. La Salle-URL, with extensive experience in the use and application of AI in teaching, research, and knowledge transfer, places at the service of the congress all the knowledge generated within the campus’ transdisciplinary ecosystem.

At the 4YFN stand, startup pitches will be complemented by a series of talks delivered by researchers from the Smart Society and Human Environment Research (HER) groups, accredited with the TECNIO label for the quality of their technology transfer in the business sector. Xavier Vilasís, Alan Briones, Aline Ramos, and Eduard Fernández will present applied research projects in the fields of smart cities, urban sustainability, and service digitalization. Meanwhile, researchers Xavier Sevillano and Marc Arnela will analyze projects on the relationship between people and the environments they inhabit, integrating scientific, technological, artistic, and social knowledge.

La Salle-URL’s approach to artificial intelligence is grounded in a strong research trajectory and its integration into the campus educational model. In this regard, the Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, fully taught in English with a global perspective, stands out, along with several master’s degrees in AI and business management, big data, data science, and telecommunications engineering. The campus also offers various training programs for professionals and a portfolio of microcredentials integrating AI across different disciplines and sectors, delivered through the Professional and Executive Education area.

Through its participation in 4YFN and the Mobile World Congress, La Salle-URL reinforces its role in Barcelona as an agent of sustainable transformation in innovation and technology, within an international context shaped by digitalization.
