The two research groups of La Salle Campus Barcelona, a founding member of the Universitat Ramon Llull, have been accredited by the TECNIO seal, a certification that identifies the most innovative technology developers in the research, development and innovation (R&D&I) system of Catalunya, highlighting those with differential technological capabilities and certifying the quality of technology transfer to the business sector.
ACCIÓ, the agency of the Generalitat of Catalunya for the competitiveness of the company, resolves the validation favorably and this means that La Salle-URL, which until now had a TECNIO accreditation that included all researchers, adds a new one that specifically certifies the two research groups of the campus: Human Environment Research (HER) and Smart Society.
The TECNIO seal promotes technology transfer to Catalan companies, facilitating collaboration between the world of research and the business fabric, a link well established at La Salle-URL due to its long tradition of collaboration with the business sector. Currently, TECNIO accredits 64 agents, there are 152 SGR groups represented and a total of 2,199 recognized researchers.
The groups and centers with the TECNIO seal are technology developers that carry out applied research in differential technologies and have the capacity to transfer it to the market through R&D projects with companies, patent licenses or the creation of emerging technology-based companies. These are research groups specializing in different topics, mostly located within Catalan universities, and distributed throughout the country, which are active with both SMEs and large companies in Catalonia and at a European level.
This recognition consolidates La Salle-URL as a leading university center in applied research and technology transfer, recognized for facilitating collaboration with companies and other entities for the development of innovative projects.
