The EFMD Programme Accreditation, an internationally recognized quality assurance process that evaluates and benchmarks business and management education programs, has been awarded to the Degree in Management of Business Technology of La Salle Campus Barcelona, a founding member of Universitat Ramon Llull. The program thus becomes the first and only university degree in Spain accredited by EFMD. This recognition certifies the commitment of the degree and La Salle-URL to excellence in curriculum design, teaching methods, student assessment, and quality assurance processes.
The degree, delivered by the International School of Commerce and Digital Economy La Salle-URL (FICEDLS), is the most popular program on campus and is based on key pillars such as technology, innovation, and cross-disciplinarity. It also has an international focus and is characterized by personalized support from the faculty. The EFMD accreditation strengthens the academic excellence of the degree and its track record of more than fifteen years, while consolidating its global recognition. Among the strengths highlighted by EFMD, the Degree in Management of Business Technology stands out, among others, in international projection, employability, and personalization, three of the main pillars of both the program and the faculty.
“The EFMD programme accreditation is an exceptional milestone for La Salle-URL and, in particular, for our International Faculty of Commerce and Digital Economy La Salle. This recognition reaffirms our commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and real-world impact. The accreditation validates a program with more than fifteen years of history and strengthens the international positioning of our business school and our campus as benchmarks in purpose-driven business education. Most importantly, it reflects our mission to train forward-looking professionals, ready to lead transformation with values, vision, and a truly global mindset,” said Josep M. Santos, General Director of La Salle-URL.
EFMD’s recognition consolidates the growth of FICEDLS and aligns the accreditation’s values —community, excellence, impact, and purpose— with the faculty’s mission to educate professionals with value and values for business and society, committed to transforming organizations and developing a more just and sustainable world. The faculty’s outlook aligns with that of the campus, which has also experienced significant growth, as reflected in international accreditations such as ABET (Degree in Computer Engineering), 1st place in the CYD Ranking (Architecture studies), or the ACEEU seal of entrepreneurial university.
