Students of more than 70 different nationalities coexist on the La Salle-URL campus this academic year. One in four students who have started their undergraduate studies at La Salle-URL in this course is international. These 170 new La Salle-URL undergraduate students come from five different world regions: just over 50% from Europe, 17% from South America, 10% from Asia and just under 8% from Africa and another 8% from North America.
In this course 2021-2022 La Salle-URL has incorporated a new degree that is taught entirely in English, the Degree in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, which is added to the other five degrees that could already be studied 100% in English at the campus: the Degree in Animation and VFX, the Degree in Digital Business, Design and Innovation, the Degree in Management of Business and Technology, the Degree in Architecture Studies and the Degree in International Computer Engineering.
The percentage of international students starting their postgraduate studies this month is even higher than that of degrees: 40%. Most come from Latin America and there are also European and Asian students. On the other hand, many students participate each year in one of the many exchange programs with foreign universities. In the first semester of the current academic year, more than 130 La Salle-URL students are on exchange at a foreign university and a similar number have chosen La Salle-URL as the destination for their university stay in Barcelona.
International students count on their arrival on campus with the La Salle International Club (CILS), an entity that welcomes and guides new students and helps them adapt to the university and the city. In addition, the CILS assists in the integration of these students, through events organized on campus and leisure and entertainment activities, and provides them with a network of contacts and networking for their interpersonal relationships.
