La Salle Campus Barcelona, a founding member of the Universitat Ramon Llull, celebrates the fifteenth anniversary of the Degree in Engineering in ICT Management, a transversal program, which is pioneering and unique in Spain for its combination of technology and management. The 15th anniversary commemoration event, held on campus, brought together students, alumni, professors and members of the La Salle-URL community linked to a training program that has had a great impact on the academic and professional lives of many people.
Several prominent alumni of the degree have shared how their experience in the classroom has been key to promoting their professional careers. Among them, Miguel Peñate, founder of Reply Next; Alba Turrion, Global Data Value Lead at Boehringer Ingelheim; Andrea Teixidó, Project Manager at Devoteam M Cloud; and Pol Caubet, co-founder of Scuderia Sette. In addition, the General Director of La Salle-URL, Josep M. Santos, spoke of the degree as “a program that we want to continue to be a reference, adapting and anticipating the challenges of a digital and complex world”. At the same time, the Director of the La Salle-URL School of Engineering, Guiomar Corral, congratulated the anniversary, pointing out the will to continue training excellent and committed professionals.
The event was a great opportunity to reconnect with people, rebuild bonds and claim a shared identity that has grown over the years. Thus, in a day full of reunions and surprises, attendees remembered all the moments experienced in a pioneering degree, which since its inception has been committed to the connection between the world of management and technology, transforming lives, creating lasting bonds and contributing to the training of excellent professionals and people with value and values.
During the event, attendees got to know the new spaces of the Executive Education, located in the Santa Maria de l’Estrella building, and the Interactive Arts & Science Laboratory (IASlab), the pioneering campus laboratory in Europe in transdisciplinary research and artistic creation, which was inaugurated this academic year and represents the innovation, experimentation and transversal collaboration that characterizes La Salle-URL training.
The fifteen years of the degree course consolidate the campus’s value proposition in the field of engineering: the humanistic approach, the ability to adapt to market challenges, the constant link with technological innovation and the desire to train competent professionals and people committed to their community, capable of transforming reality with ethical criteria and a critical spirit. In this sense, celebrations like this also highlight the importance for La Salle-URL of consolidating the alumni network, maintaining a lively and two-way contact and accompanying them during all the formative stages of their life cycle.
