La Salle-URL hosted the XVI Conference on Telematics Engineering (JITEL) 2023, organized jointly with the Sociedad Científica de Ingeniería Telemática (SCITEL) and with the collaboration of Caixabank. Between November 8 and 10, teachers and researchers specialized in telematics and network services reflected on current events and developments in the sector, while presenting their projects.
The congress once again promoted open activities to stimulate the exchange of ideas between experienced and novice researchers. JITEL 2023 encouraged the participation of all its attendees to learn about experiences and results, seeking cooperation between research groups specialized in telematics. Some of the topics discussed during the sessions were data analysis, teaching in telematics, artificial intelligence for networks, research in educational technologies, new generation networks such as 5G and 6G, security in communications and networks, digital societies and health and the management of networks and systems, among others.
The opening session of JITEL 2023 was attended by the Rector of the URL, Josep Rom; the Director of Research at La Salle-URL, Rosa Ma. Alsina; the General Secretary of Telecommunications and Organization of Audiovisual Communication Services, Matías González; the President of SCITEL, Eduardo Jacob; and the Director of La Salle Digital Engineering School, Guiomar Corral. Everyone agreed on the convenience of holding the event on campus and encouraged attendees to take advantage of the opportunity to meet so many fellow experts in the sector.
