The URL, among the best Spanish universities according to THE World University Rankings

The Universitat Ramon Llull is the seventh university in Spain and one of the 600 best in the world

The Universitat Ramon Llull (URL), of which La Salle-URL is one of its founding members, appears for the second consecutive year among the best universities in the world according to the World University Rankings of the Times Higher Education (THE) magazine, one of the most prestigious university rankings in the world. The URL appears in the 501-600 range of the best universities in the world, a classification that places it as the seventh university in all of Spain and the fourth in the Catalan university system.

The URL has improved the global score of the previous edition by half a point, achieving especially positive results in the indicator of citations in scientific publications. The second area in which the URL obtains results above the average is in the international dimension, an area in which it ranks as the fourth best Spanish university and in which it obtains a very good score in the indicators of international collaborations, percentage of foreign students and percentage of international faculty.

This edition of the ranking classifies a total of 1,799 universities from 104 countries around the world. For its preparation, Times Higher Education has collected more than 40,000 surveys of academics from around the world and has analyzed 121 million citations and 15.5 million publications. The ranking is based on 13 indicators divided into five areas that are weighted unequally: teaching (30%), research (30%), citations (30%), international projection (7.5%) and knowledge transfer (2 ,5%).
