The TIC Salut Social Foundation, an organization of the Department of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya that promotes the development and use of ICT and networking in the field of health and social welfare, joins La Salle- URL to promote training in new health technologies as a support strategy for the management of health services.
In this sense, TIC Salut Social awards two scholarships to study the Master in eHealth: Information Technology and Healthcare Management at La Salle-URL, one for onsite modality of the program and the other for the online modality. Both scholarships have an endowment of 50% of the tuition price, have an annual periodicity, are intended for residents of Catalonia and have a registration deadline of June 17, 2023. The Master in eHealth at La Salle-URL trains professionals who must lead the application of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the health field, something key to improving the management of the sector at all levels and achieving greater effectiveness, efficiency and quality of care. The master's degree is one of the 100 best postgraduate programs in health management in the world according to the prestigious Eduniversal 2022 ranking.
At the beginning of this 22-23 academic year, La Salle-URL launched, together with Blanquerna-URL, a new degree in Health Engineering, the first in Spain that combines complete training in engineering, health sciences, management and innovation. The program has a humanistic and ethical vision with a care vocation, responding to the growing demand for engineering professionals with knowledge in biomedicine and health sciences to improve individualized care for patients and the promotion of health and well-being of people.
Along these lines, La Salle-URL is already a benchmark in training in the health and technology binomial, having signed collaboration agreements in recent months with leading organizations in the sector such as the Institut d'Investigació i Innovació Parc Taulí, the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu y HP, a company that has granted scholarships to two students to pursue the degree in Health Engineering.
