The Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT), a reference center for research, innovation and knowledge transfer in health, and La Salle-URL, an international university center with seven areas of knowledge, sign a collaboration agreement to work together in the promotion of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) and in academic, scientific, technological and cultural projects.
La Salle-URL, hand in hand with Blanquerna-URL, is teaching since this academic year the Degree in Health Engineering, which trains the professionals of the future who will work in technology applied to medicine and health. As a result of this new degree, the Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute and La Salle-URL join efforts to promote research, innovation and knowledge transfer in this field. Thus, they will plan joint activities and initiatives to disseminate technology and health, while they will organize special sessions within the framework of the Degree in Health Engineering.
The Director of the I3PT, Lluís Blanch, and the General Director of La Salle-URL, Josep M. Santos, have signed the agreement at the Institute's facilities in Sabadell. The teams of both institutions have committed to exploring synergies and joint initiatives in the teaching and research field, and have visited the 3D Laboratory (3DPTLab), where the I3PT promotes the use of 3D technology in the medical field, working closely with health professionals, companies, research centers and universities.
