Description
This subject is focused to second and third year students of Bachelor degree in Telecommunication Engineering. The main techniques belonging to the Communications Section of the Communications and Signal Theory Department are introduced to the student in this subject by means of collaborations with real projects. This subject represents an ideal continuation point for the final career work and also as preparation for entering the Department with a grant.

Individual evaluation of the student from both teacher and Department.

Objectives

This aim of the subject is a deeper specialization of the student in one of the areas developed during their studies in the telecommunications arena. This specialization is carried out along with other research activities of the Department about Communications.

Contents

They depend on the knowledge area where the student is focused; however, the content is always related to the subjects belonging to the Communications and Signal Theory Department.

Methodology

The work is carried out by the student and it is fully personalized. She/He can be helped by their associated teacher or tutor. The amount of work consists of eight hours per week and can be done either in the department or at home.

Evaluation

The evaluation cannot be carried out by a specific test but by a continuous evaluation of the specified tasks by the tutor. It is common to ask for:

D. Homework.
E. Reports
F. Group reports (whenever possible)
G. Practical computer works.
I. Presentations. (to other students and teachers of the Department).
J. Participation in department seminars

Evaluation Criteria

The evaluation of the student is carried out by their participation in seminars, homework and reports and practical computer works done, their presentations and their group reports whenever possible.
