The Secretary of Universities and Investigation, Mr Arcadi Navarro, visits the Internet of Things Institute of Catalonia in La Salle-URL

The Secretary of Universities and Investigation, Mr Arcadi Navarro, visited this Tuesday, 14th of November the space of Internet of Things Institute of Catalonia in La Salle-URL.

The Grand Rector of Ramon Llull University, Dr. Josep M. Garrell; the general director of La Salle Campus Barcelona - URL; Mr. Josep M. Santos, the dean of Teaching and Research of the Salle Campus Barcelona - URL, Dr. Josep Martí; the dean of Policy and Academic Organization, Dr. Francesc Miralles; and the Director of Services to Company of La Salle Campus Barcelona - URL, Mr. Iñigo Pradera, were the managers of giving the welcome to the Secretary and presenting the project.

Then, the delegation moved to the Internet of Things space of the Institute of Catalonia, where the director of the Higher Technical School of Architecture La Salle (ETSALS), Dr. Robert Terradas, explained the project in more detail. In addition, a 3D demonstration of what was the first European university laboratory of innovation and research on the Internet of Things (IOT) was screened.

The Secretary of Universities and Research, Mr. Arcadi Navarro, took advantage of his visit to the university center to congratulate the creators of the Internet of Things Institute of Catalonia, a project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) in the area of unique institutional R & D infrastructure projects for the generation of excellence, attraction of talent and development of knowledge transfer activities.
