The following training and capacity-building activities are part of a coordinated effort to boost excellence and impact of research and innovation at La Salle–URL and among other members of the International Association of La Salle Universities (IALU). These initiatives aim to strengthen research capabilities, enhance proposal development skills, and promote knowledge valorization across La Salle's global ecosystem.

 

TRAINING SESSIONS

Foresight methodologies.

  • Conduct online workshops on identifiying trend, future scenarios, wild cards, and weak signals.
  • Provide tools for strategic planning and long-term visioning.

Internationalization strategies.

  • Train research units in expanding their international networks.
  • Highlight best practices for collaborative proposals in global funding calls.

Research proposal development.

  • Offer practical sessions on drafting, refining, and submitting funding applications.
  • Guide participants in aligning project ideas with relevant calls and eligibility criteria.

 

PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT COACHING

One-on-one and group coaching.

  • Provide targeted support to La Salle-URL research teams initiating new proposals.
  • Review drafts, offer feedback, and ensure alignment with sponsor requirements.

Ongoing advisory.

  • Identify upcoming public and private funding opportunities.
  • Share prioritised calls and tailor support to research groups' thematic strengths.

 

KNOWLEDGE SHARING AND CO-CREATION

Workshops and events.

  • Collaborate with La Salle-URL units to organize internal and external seminars.
  • Promote interaction among research groups, industry partners, and international collaborators.

Support for La Salle-URL network events.

  • Participate in ARLEP, IALU, or related university networks.
  • Help identify, schedule, and prepare for co-creation and matchmaking events.

 

INTEGRATION WITH POST-GRADUATE AND EXECUTIVE EDUCATION

Collaboration with academic programs.

  • Explore avenues to embed foresight and innovation content in postgraduate and executive courses.
  • Leverage existing platforms (such as special seminars or lectures) to share insights from the Centre’s work.
