Facilitate the work in interdisciplinary team and with professionals that participate in the architectonic heritage, fostering knowledge exchange among the different technician involved.
- Training professionals in the field of rehabilitation achieving a high level of theory-practical knowledge in diagnosis, execution/intervention techniques and damages of traditional constructive systems (ceilings, vertical elements and foundations).
- Acquiring technical knowledge and methodologies for diagnosing and for energy rehabilitation.

- Sensitizing students in heritage protection values. Using materials and modern constructive processes in a rational way so they are compatible with traditional materials and with the heritage nature of the building

DIAGNOSIS AND EXECUTION TECHNIQUES ON CEILINGS.
This module focusses in evaluating and diagnosing the different types of ceilings, from linear to bidirectional structures. Evaluating and verifying the different constructive types and their structural evolution with time. Verification of ceilings made out of wood, iron, ceramics and aluminous cement as well as concrete used presently.
DIAGNOSIS OF ENVELOPE AND ENERGY ASSESSMENT.
Study of constructive techniques and most common problems related to historic facades and roofing, and more specifically the rehabilitation of continuous elements. Focus on different techniques for intervention on facades: cleaning procedures of materials. Effects and intervention techniques on damages produced by dampness. A significant amount of time will be dedicated to thermal rehabilitation from a sustainability point of view according the European regulation on energy efficiency.
PATHOLOGY OF COVERINGS AND FINISHING.
The elements that compose the covering/coating and general finishing of buildings may represent a high repair cost in the service live of buildings. Being familiar with the damage typology and with the related constructive systems will allow the assessment of the pathology of these types of damages
