Advanced knowledge of the constructive process applied in all the áreas.
Direct and plan the physical execution of building works, as well as their facilities and their elements, carry out the qualitive and quantitive control of the construction by establishing and managing control plans on the materials, construction systems and execution, and generating the necessary records that will be included in the Building book.
Conducting economic control of the construction generating certifications and clearing payments for all finished works.
Carry out technical activities of calculation, measurements, assessments, valuations and economic feasibility studies; Perform surveys, inspections, pathological analysis and draft reports, opinions and relevant technical documents; carry out the mapping of buildings and parcels.
Elaborate technical projects and direct building Works in the field of legal empowerment.
Manage new building technologies and participate in quality management processes; conduct analysis, testing and energy efficiency certifications as well as sustainability studies of buildings.
Direct and manage the use, conservation and maintenance of buildings, drafting the technical documents necessary. Elaborate life-cycle studies of materials, constructive systems and buildings, Waste treatment of demolition and construction residues.
Manage the real state process as a whole. Take into account companies´ technical representations in building construction works.
`External practices´ is located in the degree´s last semester and intends to initiate the students´ professional career before completing their studies.
Alongside the practices themselves, which have to be performed in an office or firm external to the university, weekly lectures are programmed, in which attendance is compulsory. These are focused on the students´ professional development in order to enhance and achieve their work insertion.
Activity carried out in professional office or Company, based on the work supervised by a professional member of such office or Company and mentored by the corresponding school professor
Students´ temporary stay in companies involved in the building process: Developers/professional offices/ project manager/construction companies/ industrial/public administration, adopting similar roles that will prepare them to face their future professional activity.
The external Practices performed in an external company, will be complemented with weekly lectures in which attendace is compulsory. These are focused on work insertion issues such as `job search´, `personal brand´, `enterprise´, `CAATEEB management´, etc
This subject alternates the hours of practice in the corresponding professional company or office with the hours of compulsory lectures and the student´s personal work.
The student will perform the hours of practice (126h) established by the agreement between the school and the contracting company. This student-business relationship will be regulated by the general standards determined by the `Borsa de Treball´.
During the lectures, teachers, professionals and students with job experience share their knowledge regarding several topics such as opportunities in the field of employment, liability, entrepreneurship, administration management etc. useful skills that are not taught in other subjects.
Total student´s work hours: 100%, 6 cr.ECTS
- The student must be or have completed minimum 126 hours of external practices in a Company.
-The student must have performed the external practices with a legally approved coverage (labor contract or university-company agreement)
The teacher in charge must validate the functional content of the practices.
- Submit the documents necessary for the validation in the school´s portal:
o Labor contract or university-company agreement.
o Tutor´s evaluation questionnaire
o Student´s evaluation questionnaire
o Brief summary of the work done.
Those students who have already completed the 126hours in an external Company will be able to validate this hours, nevertheless they are still obliged to attend the lectures.
Throughout the year, various presentations will be carried out by work-market specialists. The student must complete an exercise related to the content taught in class which will be submitted to the e-study the day after.
E. Informes: Presentation of the work done in the company throughot the semester (100% of the final grade)
