Omya Business Services and La Salle-URL sign a collaboration agreement to promote the carrying out of joint activities

The two institutions join efforts to achieve the shared purpose of working for a more sustainable world

Omya Business Services, a company providing services and support to the entities of the Omya Group, producer of essential minerals and global distributor of specialized materials, and La Salle Campus Barcelona, ​​a founding member of the Universitat Ramon Llull that integrates seven areas of knowledge, sign a collaboration agreement to promote the carrying out of joint activities and thus consolidate the relations between the business and academic sectors. With this agreement, the two institutions join efforts to promote innovation, talent training, research and knowledge transfer to achieve the shared purpose of working for a more sustainable world.

The agreement is part of the strategy of La Salle Campus Barcelona to establish alliances and relationships with companies, institutions and foundations to connect them at different levels with the campus ecosystem, promoting initiatives that promote the active participation of students, teachers, researchers, startups and members of the networks that make up La Salle-URL. Omya, a company with a long history of developing innovative, efficient and sustainable solutions to everyday challenges to have an influence that improves people's lives, aligns with the values ​​promoted by La Salle-URL of positively impacting the environment and becoming a driver of transformation.

The agreement was signed by the General Director of La Salle Campus Barcelona, ​​Josep M. Santos; the Vice President of Operations and Innovation for Development of Omya, Philip Barthelmess, and the Director of Omya Service Center Barcelona, Miguel Seijas. With the formalization of this agreement, Omya Business Services and La Salle Campus Barcelona will constitute a commission made up of representatives of both institutions that will ensure the monitoring and implementation of the activities and will work to jointly promote innovative and sustainable projects.
