La Salle Campus Barcelona, a founding member of the Universitat Ramon Llull, has awarded the NTT DATA scholarships, promoted jointly with the leading technology consulting company, whose objective is to support outstanding students who want to develop in areas related to technology and business, sectors where NTT DATA is an international benchmark.
The scholarship recipients are Inés Ruiz and Isaac Bassa, from the Master in Cybersecurity, taught by the La Salle Digital Engineering School (ETSELS); and Mireia Nager and Jairo Lozada, from the Master of Science in Cybersecurity Management, taught by the La Salle International School of Commerce and Digital Economy (FICEDLS). The award ceremony was attended by the Director of Research and Innovation at La Salle-URL, Rosa Ma. Alsina; the Cybersecurity Manager at NTT DATA, Marta Fernández; the Director of ETSELS, Guiomar Corral; and the Dean of FICEDLS, Chris Kennett. The coordinators of the master's programs, friends and family of the students and campus staff also took part in this event.
In the words of Rosa Ma. Alsina, Director of Research and Innovation at La Salle-URL: “We want to congratulate the students for having received this scholarship and thank NTT DATA, a member of our Corporate Board Council, for its involvement in protecting a mechanism to promote talent and, above all, to ensure equal opportunities, something that is rooted in the founding mission of our institution”. For her part, Marta Fernández, Cybersecurity Manager at NTT DATA, stated: “We want to congratulate you and we hope to have helped you, since the idea of the scholarship is to accompany you in the transformation of classrooms in the business sector and to promote talent in the world of cybersecurity”.
Through these scholarships, NTT DATA and La Salle-URL work to train professionals in a growing sector, as cybersecurity has become one of the professions of the present and the future, which requires professionals with global values and skills who can face day-to-day challenges.
