1.Scope of application

These continuation-of-studies rules apply to students enrolled in official university master’s degree programmes at La Salle Campus Barcelona – URL.

These rules consolidate and systematise the main criteria governing continuation of studies and academic progression for university master’s degree students.

They shall be applied in accordance with the enrolment and study-load conditions laid down in the approved programme specification for each degree programme and with all other academic regulations in force.

2.Continuation-of-studies requirement

To continue in the same programme, students must pass at least 25% of the credits in which they enrolled during their first academic year.

Recognised or transferred credits shall not count towards this calculation.

Failure to meet this requirement shall result in the Assessment Board reviewing whether the student may continue their studies, in accordance with the following section.

3.Monitoring and assessment of continuation

Students’ academic progress shall be monitored through the ordinary mechanisms of academic coordination and tutorial support.

The Assessment Board shall assess whether students who have not achieved the minimum required performance may continue, taking into account their academic progress, the results obtained and, where applicable, any circumstances that may have significantly affected their performance.

Following this assessment, the Board may decide on:

  • continuation of studies
  • continuation subject to specific monitoring measures or an individualised academic plan
  • • discontinuation of studies in the degree programme where appropriate academic progression is not considered feasible

Exceptional circumstances must be duly substantiated when their nature so requires./p>

4. Master’s Final Project and completion of studies

Enrolment in, preparation of and defence of the Master’s Final Project (TFM) shall be subject to the academic requirements established in the specific TFM regulations and the approved programme specification for each degree programme.

Assessment of the TFM shall be governed by the Assessment Regulations of La Salle Campus Barcelona – URL in force.

5. Applicable regulations

Student assessment shall be governed by the Assessment Regulations of La Salle Campus Barcelona – URL in force.

Recognition and transfer of credits shall be governed by the regulations of Universitat Ramon Llull and the procedures established by La Salle Campus Barcelona – URL.

The specific conditions governing enrolment, study load and the delivery of studies shall be governed by the approved programme specification for each degree programme and all other applicable academic regulations of La Salle Campus Barcelona – URL.
