Project management is a discipline. It applies principles, concepts, tools, and techniques to improve project performance and organizational effectiveness. Project management adds value by increasing the probability that projects will achieve sustained success. The course approach combines: a) Business concepts derived from project management, where the project manager understands the project as a business unit, focusing on strategy, objectives, interpersonal skills, and leadership. b) Core principles of project management, establishing a common framework applicable to any project in any sector. The course content focuses on three main project objectives—Scope, Time, and Cost—which are the key issues in any project. Risk and stakeholders are also involved.
