‘Comprendre’, La Salle-URL’s scientific philosophy journal, receives the highest rating in the Carhus Plus and CIRC systems

The biannual publication, dedicated to philosophical research, has been awarded Level A in both the AGAUR Carhus Plus 2025 system and the CSIC’s CIRC classification

Comprendre. Revista catalana de filosofia, co-published by La Salle Campus Barcelona, a founding member of the Universitat Ramon Llull, and Herder Editorial, has received the highest rating (Level A) in two leading scientific journal classification systems: Carhus Plus, developed by the Agency for the Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR) of the Government of Catalonia, and the Integrated Classification of Scientific Journals (CIRC), promoted by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).

This recognition certifies the excellence and long-standing trajectory of a journal founded in 1999 and highlights its momentum in recent years since becoming part of the La Salle-URL campus. The new rating awarded by Carhus Plus and CIRC strengthens the journal’s academic prestige, enhances its international visibility, increases researchers' interest in publishing in it, and consolidates La Salle-URL’s model of research and knowledge transfer, especially in the fields of humanities and philosophy.

The journal’s director, full professor and researcher at the La Salle-URL Faculty of Philosophy, Armando Pego, stated: “We would like to congratulate the entire Editorial Board. This is excellent news for our campus and reaffirms our commitment to disseminating original and rigorous research in philosophy and the humanities, while promoting interdisciplinary dialogue with other fields of knowledge.”
