La Salle-URL promotes the convergence between innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity at the 4YFN

The campus, under the motto 'Empowering innovation, shaping creativity', has presented with its own stand at the reference event in innovation and technology

​La Salle Campus Barcelona, ​​founding member of the Universitat Ramon Llull, attended 4 Years From Now (4YFN) to highlight entrepreneurship and innovation as catalysts of creativity, three of the elements that define the unique value of the university campus. Under the motto 'Empowering innovation, shaping creativity', La Salle-URL participated with its own stand at 4YFN, the international reference event in innovation and technology. Between March 3 and 6, many of the startups that are part of the La Salle Technova network, the La Salle Campus Barcelona innovation park, visited the stand and also explained how the campus works from a transdisciplinarity perspective in the areas of art, science, technology, humanities and business.

At La Salle-URL, the future is thought about and created through the different assets that make up the campus knowledge ecosystem, which was presented at the 4YFN stand. The recently inaugurated Interactive Arts & Science Laboratory (IASlab) and the Internet of Things Institute of Catalonia (IoTiCAT) are the two unique laboratories on campus in which transdisciplinary research, artistic creation and the internet of things are worked on. La Salle-URL also presented at 4YFN the production company Brooder Lab, specialized in animation, digital arts and VFX, which promotes the best projects of former students on campus.

La Salle Technova, the innovation park of La Salle Campus Barcelona

​In addition, under the endorsement of the La Salle-URL innovation park, La Salle Technova Barcelona, ​​fifteen startups that participate in its network explained their innovation and entrepreneurship processes. La Salle Technova has been leading the transfer of technology-based entrepreneurship for more than twenty years and acts as a hub connecting startups, investors and corporations, in addition to accompanying emerging companies in all their stages. In the last two decades, La Salle Technova has advised more than a thousand projects and has become the pillar of La Salle-URL to promote the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit of the more than 7,800 students on campus.

“At La Salle-URL we combine social impact with purposeful technology. At 4YFN we want to be promoters of digital skills at the service of people, promoting creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship as key issues to ensure the best of futures,” explains Josep M. Santos, General Director of La Salle-URL. The La Salle-URL stand was located in hall 8.1 of 4YFN and also explained the campus' commitment to Executive Education, continuing training and lifelong learning. In addition, La Salle-URL was presented in one of the main debate forums of the 4YFN, the Banc Sabadell space, where Josep M. Piqué, President of La Salle Technova, participated in one of the round tables.

4YFN 2025, the key global event in the sector

Within the framework of the Mobile World Congress, 4YFN has once again been a meeting point for the global entrepreneurial ecosystem. The 2025 edition of the event explored issues such as purposeful technology, disruption in artificial intelligence and corporate change makers. The event brought togheter more than 100,000 professionals from the sector from more than 100 countries is expected, and nearly a thousand exhibitors and more than a thousand investors. With its presence at this global event, La Salle-URL ratifies its key position within Barcelona's entrepreneurial ecosystem, highlighting its international projection as a benchmark in innovation and creativity.
