RENTING

In Barcelona, there are different websites and apps that can help you find a room or shared flat for rent. Here are some of the most well-known:

Barna Students Place
At Barna Students Place, we offer students coming to complete a master's degree, postgraduate program, or other studies, rental rooms in shared apartments with other students, located in the best areas of Barcelona.
All our apartments are fully equipped (Internet, fridge, washing machine, microwave, kitchen utensils, etc.) so that students can enjoy maximum comfort during their stay in Barcelona. They will share the apartment with students from the same educational institution or with students who have a similar profile.

VISA
If you come from any country that does not belong to the European Union, you need to apply for a student visa from the country you live in.
Inform yourself at your embassy or consulate about the procedure and requirementsto apply for this visa since the conditions are different for each country.
The visa is usually a process that takes time, so don't forget to ask for it calculating the dates and making sure you have it before the start of your studies.
NECESSARY PROCEDURES
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
Census:Registration of your address in the city council. Every person living in Spain must be registered. Guide to apply for census.
Foreign Identification Card: If you are from a country that is not part of the European Union, you must process your TIEGuide to request TIE
EU Citizen Registration: If you have nationality of a country that belongs to the European Union, you must process your CUE (NIE) Guide to request the CUE (NIE)
HEALTH
Any citizen traveling to an EU country for studies, must have a complete health insurance in the destination country. In La Salle BCN, we have an agreement with ON CAMPUS
Once you have arrived in Barcelona and have your census, you can request the Individual Health Card that will give you access to the Public Health of Catalonia. GUIDE TO APPLY FOR THE TSI
LANGUAGE
The official language in Catalonia is Catalan, if you want to involve in the local culture and be part of it, the Generalitat of Catalunya opens free courses for everyone who wants to learn this language at the CONSORCI PER A LA NORMALITZACIÓ LINGÜÍSTICA

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
In Barcelona, you have access to the Bus, Metro, Railway, Tram and short-distance trains with the same card, check the prices and purchase your card on the official website of the FGC
If you like to bike around the city, you can subscribe to the BICING service, city council bicycles that are all over the city.
