Research Fridays - The image of the «monastery» and its psychocultural scope in post-Christian societies

Poètica del monestir is a book about three fundamental figures of the Western imaginary who seem to have entered into a crisis: the father, the teacher and the monk. It is, in the same way, a reflection on the three spaces that constitute the determining social and anthropological horizon of its previous operation in our culture: the home, the school and the cell.

In this session of the cycle 'Research Fridays', the sixth of the course, we reflect on the image of the monastery and its psychocultural scope in post-Christian societies. The speaker is Dr. Armando Pego, professor at the Faculty of Philosophy of the URL, where he is the principal investigator of the 'Philosophy and Culture' Research Group.
