Together we make it possible!

Our Smart Campus adapts to new conditions

Comprehensive Plan of Lack of Confinement

Since the beginning of the pandemic, we reacted quickly to ensure the health of students, teachers and workers, but also to maintain the main focus of our commitments: the education of our students. During the last months we have been working to make the Campus a safe space in the new normal. A campus where students, educators, researchers, entrepreneurs and companies meet again. A Campus that once again welcomes the generation of innovative ideas and proposals, of entrepreneurship and technological progress.

All the campus staff have taken the ‘Coronavirus: prevention in the work environment’ course so that they know in depth the characteristics of the virus and the recommendations to avoid contagion and to avoid spreading it.

We have also been working on the next course, learning from the previous ones, reinforcing the good and putting the student and educators at the center of all decisions. We know that the next courses will be different and we have developed a new educational model “SMART LEARNING” that we was launched during the 2020-2021 academic year. A new personalized, flexible, intelligent and interactive educational model to guarantee a quality educational experience for all our students, wherever they are.

We have kept our protocol of actions updated to prevent safety and health before COVID-19. At the start of the New Normality stage, the protocol has been updated, considering the measures identified in the risk assessment from the perspective of occupational risk prevention carried out by ASPY and the plan for reincorporation into the campus has been defined.

In order to minimize any risk and preserve the health of all students, teachers and workers on the Campus, we have defined three major blocks of information:

Campus - Collective Measures

  • Our cleaning team performs constant disinfection tasks in all classrooms, offices and common spaces, depending on the use of each space. These activities consider, especially, group changes in classrooms and laboratories and are carried out with specially approved products.
  • A single pedestrian entry and exit point has been defined along Calle Sant Joan de La Salle, 44 and 42, respectively.
  • Safe and properly signposted traffic routes have been defined to guarantee the safety distance of 1.5 meters and to establish capacity limits.
  • The maximum capacity will be controlled and the safety distance in all spaces will be ensured.
  • Informative posters are being installed throughout the Campus with the recommended capacity in classrooms, laboratories and common areas, and schedules and groups will be adapted according to capacity.
  • Office spaces and work areas have been evaluated and reorganized to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Protective partitions have been placed in the personalized attention points
  • In common spaces (meeting rooms, study rooms, laboratories ...) it is necessary to disinfect the area and equipment that you use before and after use.
  • Hydroalcoholic gel dispensers have been placed in common areas on campus.
  • The use of the elevator and toilets will be limited to individual use, except for those with reduced mobility.
  • A new protocol for ventilation of workplaces has been defined to facilitate air renewal.
  • The use of the cafeteria may have specific restrictions. In any case, you must wash your hands before and after entering the cafeteria.
  • If shared elements are used (microwave ovens, vending machines, ...) it is recommended to ensure that we disinfect the handled part, before and after use.

We thank all members of the community and those who visit our campus for complying with the prevention and protection measures to maintain a safe campus. Together we make it possible!

Individual recommendations

In order to protect the health of the entire community, it is very important that we all know and respect the Protocol of Actions to prevent health and safety from COVID-19. We must do it for ourselves and for the rest of the community. We want to thank you in advance for your involvement and respect for others. Together we make it possible!

To this end, La Salle-URL will ask all members of the community for a responsible declaration of adoption of the established protocol.

Complementary to the protocol, a manual of safety and health indications has been drawn up to promote measures that minimize the presence of elements of contagion from Covid-19 on campus.

  • It is necessary to respect and follow the safety instructions of the campus and communicate any symptoms that may be associated with Covid-19 through the mail: infocovid19@salle.url.edu
  • During the deconfinement phase, the Teaching and Research Staff and the Administration and Services Staff will be gradually incorporated into the on-campus activity, ensuring services in all areas. Flexible hours will be encouraged to avoid crowding at the entrance and exit to the campus and rotating shifts with homogeneous work teams have been established to avoid possible infection of the virus.
  • Temperature controls will be carried out at the campus accesses. Access to the campus will not be authorized for those who exceed 37.3°C.
  • The use of masks will be compulsory when moving around the campus.
  • The safety distance of 1.5 meters must be respected in all areas of the campus. These distances will be marked with signs.
  • It is necessary to follow good hand hygiene with the approved soap available in the washrooms and/or the hydroalcoholic gel, available in the common areas.
  • In common spaces (meeting rooms, study rooms, laboratories...) it is necessary to disinfect the area and equipment you use before and after use.
